AFFILIATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS

ASE, OEM and EVT Affiliations & Certifications

Vector Fleet professionals are trained by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and undergo rigorous programs to achieve ASE, OEM and EVT affiliations & certifications for emergency vehicles.

To support our training culture and maintain the required levels of certification, VFM has established a lucrative training and certification compensation plan. The program rewards technicians for their assurance to advance their careers and for their skill set in establishing superior work with improved skill sets.

VFM will use a schedule that allows each technician to complete the required number of hours while taking into consideration the total workload and staffing levels.

As a basic requirement for their classification, our technicians must earn an EVT (Enforcement Vehicle Technician) qualification. Vector provides ASE study materials and the Vector Technical Institute portal features practice tests that can be taken at any time. VFM will use various state training programs and two major exam dates each year to achieve an Enforcement Vehicle Technician certificate.

VFM has received the certification of ASE Blue Seal of Excellence at several of our fleet management sites.

We utilize a multi-channel approach to ongoing training. We provide:

  • VFM In-house Coursework
  • OEM developed training – this training supports the OEM brands utilized by our clients
  • The vendor provides instructions through our vendor partners.
  • Industry recognized training and certification (ASE, EVT)

VFM provides safety meetings daily, weekly, and monthly. Daily tool box standup meetings, weekly safety meetings with specific topics and monthly OSHA training. All safety training will be monitored and recorded.
